Mark Begich defaulted five times on three separate properties. On three of these occasions, the defaults totaled more than $370,000 and the properties ended up being sold at auction.

Begich's First Two Defaults:

On March 28, 1984, Mark Begich was listed as one of three parties in the purchase of a property. (Municipality of Anchorage Recorder of Deeds, Deed in Trust, Book 1071, Page 110; Notice of Default and Sale, Book 2064, Page 702)

On December 7, 1984, a notice of default on this property was filed, naming Mark Begich as one of the default parties. (Municipality of Anchorage Recorder of Deeds, Deed in Trust, Book 1198, Page 8452)

On January 21, 1985, a notice of termination was filed, stating that the breach of obligation from the default had been satisfied. (Municipality of Anchorage Recorder of Deeds, Notice of Termination, Book 1217, Page 573)

On June 21, 1983, Mark Begich was among three parties in the purchase of a property. (Municipality of Anchorage Recorder of Deeds, Deed of Trust, Book 915, Page 994)

On January 4, 1985, a notice of default of this property was filed, naming Mark Begich as one of three parties. (Municipality of Anchorage Recorder of Deeds, Notice of Default, Book 1212, Page 115)
